Hi all,
Can anyone tell me if all the mobile phones of all brands are designed with same keypad character scheme like on number 2 we have ABC, on number 3 we have DEF and so on... mobitej.com (secret/private SMS website) says that all mobile phones are made with same key pad character scheme is it true?
Anyone?
Thank you.
Pat.

Re: Secret SMS (A Question)
technically speaking yes, if you think in terms of say, baseball and softball, they are the same game in technical terms, however the balls are different sizes in many cases. Just as the cell phones are different in looks and sizes, they all do the same thing. Does this make sense all?

Re: Secret SMS (A Question)
It is not only on cellphones. Look at a public-phone - some of them have the letters of the alphabet on them, and they are the same. If you are into electronics and build your own project that needs a keypad, then the keypad you buy from Radio Shack or whereever will be the same layout, if not the same size.
It is called standardisation. It makes life so much easier for the user. The same as the icons on your DVD player, or audio-cassette player. Even if the picture in the icon does not make sense to you, you can still learn that the vertiocal-line with a back-arrow means go back to the beginning.

Re: Secret SMS (A Question)
All phones are standardisated so all have perform the same basic operation in the same way. Though you should keep in mind that you have some phones who have only 2 letters on one button or even some who have a separate button for each letter.
