If you are having problems with speeds, a customer care rep gave me
this tip last night, and it works great. De-install the AT&T
connection manager, and then install the one off the Sony Ericsson
    website.

My connection ROCKS now, and I'm not getting locked up sessions like I
    used to.

Good advice. Applies equally to the GC82 and to other Sony Ericsson PC Cards.

The Sony Ericsson software is called Wireless Manager.

It's also a good idea to upgrade to the latest firmware if the card is still
running earlier firmware and an upgrade is available.

Wireless Manager and any available firmware upgrades are available for
download in the Global Support area <http://www.sonyericsson.com/support> of
    the Sony Ericsson website.

    Re: GC83 tip

Very strange -- I'm running the latest firmware in my GC82 (R3B9), and Sony
Ericsson Wireless Manager (3.0.1.1026) works fine.

Try upgrading the firmware again, removing Wireless Manager, and then
    reinstalling the latest version.

    John,

Did this I also deleted the connection and re-created apparently something
was corrupt in the connection that was setup. I got it figured and
    appreciate the help.
