I received my Cingular bill the other day. When I opened it up, I expected
it to say the usual $107 & a few cents that it says I owe every month. This
    month's bill: a shade over $53!

I have 2 lines with the 850min/month family plan (should be $59 for the
first line & $9.99 for the 2nd). Plus I have one with Media works and the
    other with Media Basic.

Looking closely at the bill, I see that my "first" phone number's monthly
charge is $9.66 and my 2nd line's price didn't change (still at $9.99).

Any ideas how this happened? Or better yet, how long will it take them to
    figure it out

The only thing that I changed before the billing period was I added
international dialing (no cost unless I use it).

I will most likely call Cingular sooner rather than later because I'd hate
to open my Cingular bill 6 months down the road to find that they finally
caught the error and billed me for the previous undercharges! I'm just
wondering how it happened. Better yet, how someone could get a plan for
    $9.66/mo!

    Thanks!

On the second part, only about as long as it takes busybody nosy John
Navas to fly his little fingers over the phone to try to find someone to
    "tell" on you.

I'm sure he's right now thinking about who he might call to make this
RIGHT, by God! It's his DUTY, his HONOR, and his PRIVILEGE.

Now John has helped me one way or another countless times ever since
we were using those 33.6 modems. And I've never know John to do
something like you've suggested. After all, it is still Christmas in
the Western Hemisphere, so try a little kindness!

    God Bless.

Wow, that's amazing - a billing error that is in the CUSTOMER'S favor.

Clearly Cingular still has some bugs in their billing error software.
