It's the every-other year search for a new cingular cell phone. I am
interested in what others have and like and dislikes for thier phone. Also,
if you know of something that's worth waiting for, I am not in a huge hurry.
Thanks!

"Google is your friend." Good way to find your answers without asking the
same questions yet again.

Re: Phone recommendations
While I have done searches for this information, I wanted input from real
users; people who were ambitious enough to reply to a newsgroup. Most of the
info is on techie sites, cnet etc., and some is on Amazon. I'm looking for
"I just got a superphone xyz and dropped it on the carpet, it broke" or "my
nimbus 2001 has terrible menus". Also, someone in this group my have
knowledge of what's coming out next month. In sum, I know how to google but
wanted to hear from others.

FYI, Google also searches newsgroups: <http://groups.google.com/>
Usenet guidelines stress the importance of researching back posts (including
recent ones) *before* asking a question.

Re: Phone recommendations
I recently retired a bunch of Nokia 6340i's. I bought a Motorola v600. I
like it but I've been a Nokia guy for a long time. Got the Ms a Nokia 3120.
Simple, inexpensive and to my delight, she likes it. I got a Nokia 6230
also. More to the phone than I know, but it does Bluetooth. The 3120 &
6230 both use the same carkit.
For nearly the same price ATTWS charges me, I tend to go to the manufacturer
or a dealer that allows low usage exchange of a new phone. I will
definitely keep the 3120's and 6230. Have not decided on the v600, but I
will probably list it to sell.
And I accept recommendations too.

Google (formerly DejaNews) is a USENET archive. It is his and ours
"friend" because in the past others have responded to *on topic*
questions in many USENET groups over the years. Please stop wasting
peoples time with your sarcastic dribble and pathetic attempts at
moderating this group. Thank you.

Yeah, several year old discussions regarding cell phones will still be
relevant today, since cell phones and cell coverage are such a static topic.
