Recently switched from Sprint to Verizon cell service (company change).
Still have a very good Motorola P8767 (sprint) cell phone . . . . much
better than the piece of junk LG phone Verizon gave me....
Anyway, Verizon said P8767 couldn't be reprogrammed for Verizon cell service
????
Is this true or are they lazy and don't want to be bothered?
All help is welcomed.
Thanks in advance

It's true. Sprint locks its phones to their service and won't unlock
them for any reason. Technically, the Motorola phone might work on
Verizon -- dual band CDMA plus analog -- if you can find someone to
pay to unlock it and get it activated in place of the LG. Maybe
someone with more specific knowledge will answer that question.
LG, otherwise known as Lucky Goldstar, is the Korean company that
makes those 39.95 B&W TV's you see behind the counter at the
drugstore. Their cell phones seem to be built to the same standard.
If you haven't had it too long, you might want to take it back and
trade it in on a decent Motorola v.60i or T720 / 730. Then you'd have
a good phone on a good system.
