    Hi,

What ringtone format does the V360 use? Can I convert from mp3 into that
format and use it as a ringtone or is there some other lock that prevents
    it?

    TIA,
    -computerguy

There is no need to convert anything, the V360 can play MP3 ringtones.
That is unless you have a branded phone from a carrier who disables this
feature in order to make you buy ringtones from them. Don't know if it
really happens but I could imagine it does.

However, if you want to make your own MP3 ringtones, you may want to
strip it to the chorus with a wave editor so that get to to hear more
than intro of the song when the phone rings. You don't usually have the
phone ringing for three minutes ;-) Some MP3 also need to be
normalisedor have som compression added to make them sound loud enough.
I use audacity (http://audacity.sourceforge.net/) for that purpose.

    Re: V360 ringtones

    Hi Andreas,

I do have a "branded" phone (T-Mobile in the US) and it seems that they
have disabled this feature since I cannot get it to play my own ringtone. I
can play the file but not use it as a ringtone. Is there a way to re-enable
this feature? Will unlocking the phone do that as part of the unlocking?

    TIA!
