Does anyone know how to silently change ring styles with the Razr phone
closed? It can be a nuisance if you want to silence the phone and you
don't want to make sound to do it.

Use the left side buttons, with the 'phone closed. Pressing one of these
buttons when the 'phone rings will silence the ringer for that call.

On that subject, is there any way of rejecting a call with the phone shut?

As far as I know, no, though you can just ignore the caller.

Just press the side key and the ringing will stop and the call will go
to voicemail at the 30 second (or whatever you've set) point.

First, press and hold the lower half of the top left button. A "Ring
Styles" menu should appear on the display. Then press the bottom left
button repeatedly until the ring choice appears on the display, one of
"Master Volume", "Alarm Only", "Vibrate Only" or "All Off".
At least that's how it works on my V3m.
