Well, I've had it less than 2 months, and already my beloved i730 bit the
dust. I guess that's what I get for being clumsy enough to drop it in a mud
puddle. But enough of my whining *pout* At any rate, my questions are these.
I just purchased a replacement i730 (New In Box) from ebay. When I get the
phone, I know I have to put my old SIM card into the new phone, and that
should have all my downloads, address book, etc. stored on it. But 1) Will I
have to call Nextel and make them aware that I've changed phones? and 2) If
so, will Nextel charge me money (i.e, activation fees, etc) for swapping
phones? If someone could give me this info, I'd be really appreciative!!
Thanks so much,
Izzy

Re: 2 Questions regarding new phone...
Thanks for the info - I really appreciate it! It's good to know that this
shouldn't cost me any more than it already has!
As for my old phone, as soon as you put the battery in, all it does is
vibrate. Sometimes it'll power up (and for some reason it goes straight into
airplane mode) but after about a minute, the screen fades out. Sometimes,
though, all you get is a screen that says i730. It's pretty much useless,
but if you still wanted to buy it, I'd be more than happy to negotiate a
price!
Thanks,
Izzy

You will get your phone number, address book, and other standard SIM
stuff like stored SMS.
You will not carry over your downloads (ring tones or Java), voice
dial tags, voice messages, styles, settings, etc.
And, NO, Nextel does not need to know nor do they care that you
replaced your i730 with another one.
