Is there any way to get Nextel service on a month to month contract?
I have a couple of phones that I bought outright (garage sale - they
work and have a sim card) but I don't want to get locked in for a
year. I just want to try the service out for a couple of months.
Nextel won't even talk about it. Any ideas?

Boost prepaid although you'll need Boost sims for your Nextel phones.

Sorry to be a dunce, I'm new to all this. How do I get Boost sims?
Can I just buy them, or do they come with Boost activation?

it is prepaid service. you buy the card in dollar amounts and use it till it runs out. you can get the cards at a nextel store, best buy, target and serveral other locations. the boost website is www.boostmobile.com. this will explain how your charges work.

The boost chips are not going to work if you just pop them into a Motorola
phone, Id say get the phones Unlocked first so you can use it on any
network, then go ahead and buy the boost prepaid chip. also what model
phones are you using?
