Help....! my Nokia 3315 does not have a "Network select" option in the
phone setting menu.
My phone has been serving me well all this time. Recently my service
provider merged its services, and as a result I now have to depend on
one of 2 networks depending where I am ( TM Touch, my original service
in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and the new MyCelcom in some parts of
Malaysia)
The problem is I can't find my network selection on the phone to set
it to "Automatic select" and as a result, where I am supposed to use
MyCelcom, I get no reception.
Even Nokio phone assist is puzzled and suspect a "software glitch".
However when I change to my friends' SIM cards, the option is
available.
What can be the problem? Is it my phone or SIM card or compatability
problem?

When the option IS AVAILABLE on your friend's SIM-card, it's NOT a
firmware-issue here! Can you ask your provider for a NEW SIM-card?
