My 6310i has an old version of the firmare 5.20, the newest I believe is
7.0.
I am told I need a newer version to get my Bluetooth to work with my new BT
peripherals.
Is it something that is pretty easy to do? I do have the date cable.
Obviously I need the file too... and maybe a software tool to update the
firmware.
Does anyone know of a site that would have the file ?
Thanks

You can't update firmware with a data cable. You need a hardware solution
such as Twister. Unless you know what you're doing, take it to a Nokia
Service Centre and let them do it. Yes it will cost you (unless your phone
is still under warranty, unlikely with a 6310i) but breaking your phone,
which is what is likely to happen if you try and do it yourself without
the proper kit, will cost you more.
