Nokia 3230, Insert SIM Card error msg

Hi,

Need help and will appericate greatly. My phone was working fine but
was held so i took out the battery and restarted it again.......since
than it gives me msg "Insert SIM Card".......although sim card is there
and it works fine in other phones.......also i have tried other sims on
my phone but always get the same error........i have tried formating as
well but still problem persists........any one had any idea what can i
do to end this problem........THANX

Check the sim card holder's contacts to make sure none are damaged; make
sure you're putting the sim card in the right way.

By "held" do you mean the 'phone froze during use? Has that handset been
reported lost/stolen. Check with your carrier and provide the 'phone's
serial number to them.
