How do I make it so that it will show an "A" when I press that key
once,,and a "B" when I press it twice..etc?
My granddaughter fixed it for me right after I got it but I was
texting this morning and somehow must have hit the wrong key and now it
wont do right anymore. Now it puts them in a different way or
something.......like it did before she fixed it.
HELP!
I've looked all over everything on that phone TWICE and cant figure it
out for the life of me!

I think you want to turn "Predictive Text" off. On most Nokia's I've used,
you do this by pressing the # (bottom right) key twice while on the screen
where you write a text message. Pressing this button twice again will turn
it back on.
My phone has an icon that is meant to look like a pencil tip at the top
right of the screen. When Predictive Text is on it has several lines coming
out of it to the left. They disappear when Predictive Text is off.
However, you may wish to consider keeping Predictive Text switched on. So
long as you can *****, it's much faster (2 to 3 times faster) than pressing
once for an A, twice for a B. To use it, you simply press each key once
only. So, "HELLO" would be:
43556
....instead of:
4433555(pause)555666.
As you type 43556 you'll see it form something like this:
I
If
Gel
Hell
Hello
This is because you might want to ***** any of those words on the way -
they're all valid words. But my point is it doesn't start looking correct
until you've entered the 4th character. This is perfectly normal.
Sometimes there is more than one word that has the same numbers. For example
both "OF" and "ME" are 63. So if the wrong word comes up press * to cycle
through all possibilities. Thus, "63" gives you "OF", press * and you see it
change magically to "ME". It's dead easy when you get the hang of it.
Hope this helps.

Re: Text Messaging
Thanks, Vincent.
I got fixed back like it was!
Your explanation helped me understand the difference in the text, which
I have been wondering about!
