A while back, I reported the following problem

The warning on my partner's phone is no longer audible either when it's
on
one bar or about to die and shut down. Does anyone know why. We
haven't done anything to the phone - all other warning tones seem to be
active

Someone suggested
I had a bug appear like that on a 3310, a full factory reset with
eepromtools
sorted it (as well as trying to take it to a NSC to upgrade the
software)

Well at the time I didn't have a cable, but now I do and I am using
Nokia Tool v1.8 with the cable I've been lent

Will Nokia Tool do the job Steve was suggesting? There's an SFR button
(set factory values). Does this do more than
menu -> settings -> restore factory settings
on the Nokia. Also, there's a menu in Nokia Tool called software reset
