Hi,
I've just brought a 3510i and the answer service comes on after around 6
rings. I'm raising my 16month old son on my own during the day time and 6
rings just isn't long enough to finish changing a nappy and then answer the
phone!
I have looked through the phones menu but can not find an option to lengthen
the time.
Any advice would be appreciated.
Regards

Don't know the 3510i but on most Nokias there is an option either as a
separate menu option "Call Divert" or if not it may be buried under
Settings > Call Settings somewhere. When you find it look for the option
"Divert when not answered" or "Divert if not available" (depending on your
network). In there is an option to set the delay to between 5 and 30
seconds.
There is also a GSM code you could try, I don't recall it exactly but it's
something like **61*number*delay# where number is your voicemail number
and delay is the number of seconds between 5 and 30 you want to set. If
I'm wrong I've no doubt someone will correct me ;-)
Or, depending on the network again (you didn't say which) you may be able
to switch off voicemail altogether.
Hope this helps,
Ivor

Just went through the menus on my recently acquired 3510i from Orange and
the menu options 6.2.1.3.1.1.6 should set it correctly to divert to
Voicemail after 30 seconds (which is the maximum setting).
Have a play around in that menu as it gives you several different time
settings.
Hope this helps.
