Hello group
I have a nokia 6610 and want to be able to read mail on it
Before I tried ReqwirelessEmailViewer-2.2 but it costs money after
some time
Yesterday I downloaded and installed mail4me but does not work
Maybe I didnt set it up correctly or it does not work on my phone ?
The error message I get is : javax.microedition.io.connection not
found. Exception The requestedd protocol does not excist
Seems like its not trying to connect at all
Someone know a website with info on how to set it up ?
I retrieve mail from a pop3 server
Or maybe another email application that works on my phone
and is free ?
Thanks in advace

You can not have POP/IMAP/SMTP on a series 30/40 nokia. Because they do not
support sockets. The only option you have is a "payed" service, because you
need to go thru their server to get your mail. And no one will offer a free
service.
Every time you want to check your mail you have to start the java prog and
connect to the server.
I just got me a T610 and gave the 6610 to the wife.
6600 seems nice and could be my next phone.
bye

Used it also, as i say, its a payed service that passes thru their server.
You can put in any working email account that way. they fetch your mail from
your ISP's server and push it to you.

Hello
Thanks for the suggestions
I have already downloaded and installed sirius
I was not thinking about the email reading when I bought the phone
But its a nice feature, so in my next phone I have to look for a easy
way to get my mails
