Can anyone answer this question for us?

Where do flies go for winter?
    Do they die, or emigrate?
If they die, would it be better, if you where a fly, to be born in march
april, rather than october november, so as to maximise your life span??

please answer this for us to settle an argument....

    cheers

    C

they move to warmer climates. animals are just as tasty as humans to a fly.
a common housefly only lives a week or so anyway.
but one fly can easily make a thousand maggots in that time.

I have no idea, but I do know that they all use Sagum phones to keep in
touch with each other, so your question is pretty much OT for this NG.

You need to take this to another newsgroup that cares like:
    alt.fan.cecil-adams.

They would tell you something like; while most die, some do hibernate through
the chill. One type of orchid when it blooms stinks so bad it will bring them
out in the middle of winter.

    Or something like that.
