my phone to my USB port it shows in my device manager window as
operational..Im using Sprint dialer sofware 3.0 and even tried to use
Sprint connection manager software, but both programs fail to detect the
    device..I have a 2nd older laptop running win98..Sprint dialer 1.1 and
    a samsung m-100 connected to a serial port,slow but it works 14.4
k..but the same set up doesn,t work on my new laptop..it doen,t have a
serial port and the older dialer version refuse to load in my new
    laptop.message(SEVERE configure tcp/ip protocol)..I have my Sanyo 7300
activated and was planning to buy a second one to replace my samsung if
I could get the Sanyo to work as a modem..but Im willing to buy any
other model proven to work under Winxp and using the USB port..thanks
    in advance for any help..

Ditch the Sprint Dialer. Just setup a new PPP connection using your
SANYO Phone as the modem. Use the phone number #777, with a blank
    username and password.

    Enjoy!
