Ok guys, I'm sorry to bring up such a can of worms here, but I have to
ask. I don't usually read this group; occasionally I'll pop in here
from sprintusers.com; but I've noticed this isn't the
alt.cellular.sprintpcs group anymore; instead it really seems like the
alt.cellular.hatephillipe group. I find it hard to come here and read
about Sprint because all the stuff about Phillipe.
So I guess my questions are:
1. Why do you guys all hate Phillipe?
2. If you hate him so much, why do you bother responding to any of his
posts?
I've noticed this posting about Phillipe has grown to be excessive over
the past month or two; and coming here to read and talk about Sprint is
less worth it.
No harm intended guys, I'm just curious.

I agree with you. Over the last month or so, this newsgroup has
deteriorated to nothing but a handful or people taunting and
antagonizing each other (and you know who you are). It's gotten out of
hand and it needs to stop. If certain people don't like each other,
fine. But let it go for the sake of everyone else who wants to get
info and talk about Sprint without having to read through those
people's petty arguments. Would you all please just give it a rest so
the rest of us don't have to deal with it? It seems like half of all
threads anymore are releated to the constant bickering. If you don't
like someone, don't talk to them. I swear, people were more mature
than this when I was in high school.
I'll get off my soapbox now.

I don't hate him. I refuse to accept his false "quotes" of those to whom he
responds when he disagrees. It's so consistent it's got to be deliberate,
and therefore dishonest. But, when he's not creating those false quotes, he
can be quite reasonable, and I've said so on several occasions.

Same reason above. He's proven he's *capable* of discussion. But disagree
with his pronouncements from on high, and you'll find all sorts of new and
imaginative meanings assigned to what you say. I'm an eternal optimist, and
keep hoping for the former, and not the latter.

Rather like you creating false posts. I've seen you do this quite a bit.
Then you don't (more accurately CAN'T) back up your drivel with any
evidence. You just keep posting, calling people liars.

You, on the other hand, are incapable of discussion. Want to list the
reasons 1900 MHz is better than 800 MHz? You made the claim. Oh, wait, all
you said was that Nextel's president made the claim, yet you can't quote
him.
You also posted that I received the discount I was supposed to receive,
proving you post when you don't know the facts AND you probably failed math.
C'mon, if you want to make an accusation, PROVE IT. But you don't. Just
keep posting your drivel.
What is that, three lies today? Well, that's 3 extra days I'll have to stay
here and make people aware of your lies.

Re: Question about Phillipe
Here we go again, we are trying to end the bickering and it
continues......... The thread started on a good note and there were
pleas to stop the bickering, but yet, even in this thread it exists.
Modma and 'Flyers:
I hope that this "forum" does not continue to suffer from the newsgroup
woes. I have enjoyed the help that I have received and given and like
many of the people here like Deval, Chrome18's, Manti, Yummi, DF, Kim,
CHAOS, Darkflight, Mkoso, Larry, Smitythepig, AnthroMatt, Ronkh,
Hibbt,Hatoncat and others. (sorry if I forgot anyone!)
I have enjoyed much of the conversation that these prople have
provided! Cant we all just get along?

I wish we could. I don't see this kind of childish antagonism in other
forums like SprintUsers and Hofo. Because of all this nonsense,
SprintUsers might not include this newsgroup anymore in its list of
forums and searches. That shows how ridiculous this has gotten. It's
turned into one giant b**itch fest around here instead of people trying
to help each other.

Show you one? Here's a BIG one:

Yes you were. That *was* the discount at the time you bought them. They
were $30 cheaper MSRP, and $30 less in discount.

You know I really think not including all of this "***** fest" on
SprintUsers would be for the best. I am tired of all this crap showing
up there as I'm sure alot of the other forum memebers are. It doesn't
really appear that the ***** fest "members" care too much what happens
so I say just do away with them on SU and leave them to themselves in
their newsgroup to continue with their childish arguments.

Yes you WERE wrong. You said that I received the correct discount. I did
not. You lied, posting drivel you couldn't verify or back up.

No, you *did* receive the correct discount. You did not go in as a=20

a mailin rebate. You got the biggest instant rebate *you* had=20

BTW, that *is* a different argument. You were undergoing tech support=20

Then please tell my why I was signed up for a 2 year contract without my

Unfortuantely, this is true. It looks Phillipe has succeeded somewhat
in his trolling where others have failed int he past; he really has
turned this grup upside down.
Fortuantely, there is a solution: killfile. I actually fired mine up
for the first time. And now, the group is readable again.
