I have taken a liking to this particular phone, especially in the white.

Reviews arent all that plentiful as yet - what are some peoples thoughts on
these - in particular, how is the quality of the music player in terms of
    sound and functionality.

Is it something I can finally stop carrying my i pod because of? Or not
    quite?

    Many thanks...

You can stop anytime you like.

All depends on how often you listen - if you have it on all the time, you
aren't going to have much phone battery left for calls.

I figured that although I read in the one review I found, that the phone
will do 13 days of standby.

    Which is brilliant!

So will mine. When sitting on a shelf with the screen off, not using it at
    all.

However - when used for sms & occasional call, comes down to five days.
When used for music, it's usually one day. Up to two hours of music before
battery is low. And if the two hours is in the morning, you have a very dead
phone by the time you get to a charger.

My M600i can do 250 hours of standby in UMTS network , but the reality when
    I am using it [1 - 1 1/2 hours talk time]
it only lasted 8AM to 1pm the next day [f/w R9A]

Same battery as the K750i, isn't it? About the same here, but nobody uses
    their phone like that

I've noticed that the biggest drain on the battery seems to be the LCD
screen - after typing and sending an SMS on a battery that was at 98%,
after sending it was down to 91%. But then when I come back to the phone
later and check again, it's back up to 95%.
