Switching Telus to Bell LG Chocolate to LGVX3200

I am hoping someone can tell me if i can switch my Bell LG Chocolate phone to Telus LG VX3200 pre-paid phone and use it as the monthly account phone. My wife prefers the flip phone of the LGVX3200 to the LG Chocolate slider.

Can I make the switch online somehow? When I log into my Bell account it says that only phones from Bell can be activated online. Is this true or just a cautionary disclaimer?
