Worse thing for a human physically would probably up the avenue of torture (ripping things off, putting other things in/on/up, mashing of things, etc)

Mentally would probably what Primewoman said, losing a child. Or watching someone die while knowing you could prevent it.

Guys are not neutered for heaven's sake. It's called a vasectomy and has no effects on performance or libidinal urges. Actually, the men I know who are snipped are very happy to know that they won't be responsible for bringing children into this world they don't want. Women tend to like that because it removes the worries of getting pregnant and can make the sex that much hotter.
