If I had to guess I would go for the USA

I was on a trip back in 1995 in Manila and everywhere I looked people where texting like crazy MAD every other person had a cell phone and that was 6 years ago. Texting was not even remotely used in North America. I figure now it probably quadrupled in text use

I suppose that by sheer numbers, China would definitely have a lot of texters. Shouldn't a more accurate measure go by proportion, however?

Also, I'm really curious as to how texting in Asian countries works. Or rather, any country that doesn't use arabic numerals. I want to see how texting works with Chinese characters, is what I'm saying.
