I bought the 5th Generation 30GB Video iPod for christmas for myself and have been very satisfied. I also own a 128MB RCA Lyra with a 128MB SD expansion card which I still use for the gym (the iPod is admittedly too big for that purpose, though I see a lot of people using them). I would swear that my iPod has far superior sound quality to the RCA, however, Twin is correct, if you download a crap MP3, any player will sound bad. As for capacity, well I just couldn't beat the iPod's ample 30GB (unless I coughed up another $100 and bought the 60GB version). The video screen is crystal clear and through iTunes you can buy music videos and TV episodes (I just bought some Beavis and Butthead eps I can't wait to watch).
Incidentally, I use my iPod almost exclusively in the car, with a Monster iCarPlay Wireless Plus FM Transmitter/Charger for iPod. It was my solution to satellite radio.
That's just my .02, thought I would throw it out there.

i have one too, and by looking at my name on the left, you can see how i feel.
30 GB black w/video. this thing is awesome. only tidbit i've noticed is that my vids are not synced to the audio in them. prolly my fault somewhere.
and 2 hrs of video playback is a little slim. won't survive the plane ride to anaheim, and my video podcasts can literally drain half the battery.
overall, 10/10 for my ipod!

the 5th generation ipod is kinda hard to use
the clock wheel is smaller compared to the older ipods and harder to hold too
besides the fact i can only get 2 hours of video and it doesnt hava intergrated fm tuner...
the games r pretty cool!Hey there!
