I've been looking for a thing to bascially speed up my computer. I've heard of registry cleaners and things, but what would I need to just clean up unneccessary files?

try defragmenting ur computer (which will take hours), remove spyware and crap like that with adaware, browse through ur computer and remove unwanted programs and files, or u can buy a new computer....

Hijackthis
I think you can get adware and spybot from

Microsoft Just releast a beta of a spyware cleaner you can try that www.microsoft.com and search for it seems good to me i use Ad-Aware SE Professional works good to
