    Which do you think is better overall. I got RAMBUS in my system and it has worked wonders, but it was also expensive. Share your thoughts.

    I think the days of rambus are over.
    Almost everything is DDR
    The best provider gives you a plan with the minutes you need at the right price. The coverage that you need to make calls all the time.

    I heard that DDR is a newer version of memory

    Rambus has been cut quite sometime ago, no system builder uses it anymore. DDR has been in all new systems for the past couple years. Intel is now using DDR2 in their newer systems, though performace isn't all there compared to normal DDR. DDR2 has too slack of a timing for performace. Which is why AMD is still using DDR since 80% of their performace is based on getting the lowest timings possible.
