Re: Looking for some partners!
I am planning to travel to Ladakh in mid June 09. A dream coming true after a long wait. The dates are flexible. I am traveling alone from Delhi and was planing to reach Ladakh by The Manali road and then fly back to Delhi. After all the reading and research that I have done I think that would be the best way to experience it all.
There are a couple of questions that I had,
What is the best way to reach Ladakh from Manali, I would prefer spending a night in Sarchu/Keylong and then going further.
I was thinking of shared taxis but I have heard they don't stop on the way and It would be nice if I could stop on route and take some pictures as I am a ameuture photographer.
How much would a hired Jeep/4X4 cost and if there are people traveling on similar dates who would like to share the ride.
Also it would be a great help if anyone knew of any taxi operators or car rentals in Manali. Any contact info would be of great help.
I also wanted to spend a couple of nights in Pangong Tso and Moriri Tso. Are there any accomadation available there. Will i need advance booking and again is there any contact for the places there.
Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
A Bit about me: I am from Delhi, 33 years old male, a graphic designer by profession and an ameuture photographer. Love to travel. I am easygoing and laidback
