Announcing the ALICE chatbot hosted in a notepad text editor with an additional script processing language for authoring dialogs to assist in creating new AIML which extends and develops the program's personality. In short, speak with ALICE and edit her as you please on your desktop without the internet!
Changes are happening so fast... Check out the diary at http://home.comcast.net/~gdubuque/diary.htm to get information about the latest modifications.
The desktop program and documentation: (Just unzip everything into a folder to execute – see note below for dictionary):

I would very much like to download the ALICE software, but the site doesn't work! Is there a mirror or something?

The AIMLPad project is officially dead. If you would still like to obtain AIMLPad, there may be a copy somewhere out there you can find with a Google search. There are other versions of ALICE on the Internet, including our resident MIDIBOT, but I leave the sleuthing to you.
