Relative nooby looking to upgrade my service plan. Is there any advantages
to making this transaction online as opposed to the local store?
Financially it looks better online but just want to make sure I don't miss
anything.

Re: upgrade
Plan and equipment upgrade. Presently on Cingular TDMA nation plan, one
line. Need to change/upgrade to family plan, 2 line, newer equipment,
probably gsm SuperHome. The question is just whether there is any
advantage, financially or otherwise, in making this change online or through
the store. The local people just don't give me confidence they are well
informed with this move. This will be after Feb 1 since there seems to be
some changes in the air. Maybe this is why.

Re: upgrade
You need to jump NOW, before the end of the month. Right now a second
family line is $10, next month it goes up to I believe $20. Get to a store
and get it changed.

Re: upgrade
Call CIngular customer service. I just bought the Motorola V400 phone...got
a $50 credit on my account since I have been with Cingular (previously SNET
Cellular) for 10 years...
Negotiating is worthwhile...you can get a lot from them, such as extra
minutes, etc...
