I have one of the original Motorola RAZR phones, and when I tried a few
years ago to download the phone numbers off the phone to Windows the
Motorola software did not work. There were many posts on the Internet at
the time with people struggling to do the same and also not managing to make
    the software work.

Has the software improved any? Which applications and drivers would work
under Windows 2003 or Windows XP?

Also, if it matters, I would like to migrate the names and phones on the
older RAZR to a Blackberry Bold.

About a year ago I purchased a "Motorola Phone Tools" CD from Amazon.
It was version 4.0 (I think). I installed it. It would not or could
not upgrade to a version that would support my RAZR V3m.

I complained to Motorola Technical Support. They gave me a time limited
URL from which I downloaded V4.5 (I think). The new version was able to
recognize my RAZR V3m. I was able to enter the names and phone numbers
of my contacts. This evening, I fired it up again to add the claims
department and roadside assistance numbers for my auto insurance. At
that time, the software upgraded itself to the latest version.
