    Hi All,

I just got 2 new V120E's on Ebay, and activated them on my 2 Verizon
phone lines. Both phones work great, but when I charge them, they act
differently. When I plug the charger into the first one, the display lights up
for a second or two and then says "charging battery" , just like it should.

On the second one, the phone turns itself on instead of just displaying
"charging battery", and then displays "charging battery" in the idle screen. It
charges and works OK, but why is it doing this ??? Is there a menu setting for
this ??? If there is, I haven't found it yet.

I also have 2 V120C's and another V120E and all of them work properly
just like the first one above. Only that second V120E acts strangely--ANYONE
    HAVE ANY IDEAS ???

    Re: V120E CHARGING DIFFERENCE

That's a new one on me.. I have a v120e as well, and when turned off,
it charges with a "charging battery" screen and does not turn itself
    on.

I wonder if the firmware in both are different? I'm not aware of a
option setting that would have it turn on when charging. I even looked
at the advanced settings (the ones Motorola doesn't tell you about)
    and didn't see anything either.

My v120c also worked like my v120e - does not turn itself on when
    charging when its off.

    Re: V120E CHARGING DIFFERENCE

I have the v120c and I notice the same behavior when the battery level
is not at the 1/3 level. If the battery is 2/3 level and I use the
charger that plugs into the wall outlet, the phone turns itself on and
says it cannot charge. If it is at the 1/3 level, it simply lights up
    and says charging battery.

When using the charger in my car, it does not appear to make a
difference what the level is - it charges just the same.
