Has anyone tried using Samsung A437 with Toyota Prius 2007? I'm trying to use the built-in bluetooth in the car to place calls, but the connection is very unreliable and calls cannot be made... Any advice will be appreciated.

Re: Samsung A437 with 2007 Prius bluetooth?
I have the same problem -- sorry, no solution, just sympathy. I just today bought an '08 Prius. At the dealer, we got the connection to the A437 working fine, then shut off the car, then turned the car back on, and no connection! Didn't matter whether we used autoconnect or tried to manually connect, it just kept failing. Finally after many more failures we got it working again. Of course when I got home and turned car off, it disconnected (appropriately), and then a couple hours later I started the car again, and it wouldn't autoconnect or manually connect. Again, after 8 or 10 failed tries, I got it to manually connect. But I sure don't want to go through that every time I drive. If you find a solution, please let me know!

Need to determine if it's a problem with the car or the phone.

Re: Samsung A437 with 2007 Prius bluetooth?
I guess it's the phone. We tried my daughter's BlackJack, connected fine, and after we turned car off and walked away w. phone to break connection, it auto-reconnected when we returned and started car again. So, does this mean I need a new phone in order to get reliable Bluetooth with my new car? Or do you think I can get Cingular or Samsung to do anything to help? Thanks.

Re: Samsung A437 with 2007 Prius bluetooth?
Well, shoot, I think I found the answer. According to the website toyota.letstalk.com, the Samsung a437 just isn't compatible with the Prius Bluetooth. Grrr. I like the phone so much but this is an important flaw! Guess I will have to look for a new phone.
