    So I found a sidekick and I was wonderig if I can get service on it being that I didn't actually buy it, or would they know that it was someone else's?

    well if the owner reported it stolen/lost, the service provider could have blocked it and then it is nothing but an expensive paper weight. However, if it is not blocked, then you can use it

    you can use the sidekick if you have the $20 data feature added to your plan. than stick the sim in and it's done.
