Uh hey guys, I'm looking to get my first cell phone, I know, I'm a latecomer.
I was wondering if any of you who are already familiar with these things can help me.
I commute back and forth from New Jersey and New York so I was wondering which provider is good, cingular?
I'm not looking to spend too much money, but I'd like to browse the internet a lot for stock/financial information and such.
Do any of you have any newcomer recomendations?

Re: My first cell phone
Boost web rates going up to $.35/day on Sept 11. Still reasonable.
Also look into AMPD mobile payg. Cheap and fast data.
Cingular payg charges $.01/kb. Use opera mini and it isn't too bad.Last edited by roberts1953; 08-22-2006 at 01:32 PM.

Re: My first cell phone
Browse the internet or go to some stores(Sprint, T-mobile, Rogers etc.) and ask someone who knows about phones. Get some brochures and see which cell phone would be best for you depending on its qualities and how much you are looking to spend. The more stuff thats included the pricier it will be.
