Question about unlocking cell phone?

Hi I currently bought a unlocked GSM cellphone on ebay about 3 months ago. It was the Motorola L6, so I took it to t-mobile and the activated for me and put the sim card in. Anyways, I just got my new phone took out the sim card from my motorola and transfered to my new phone. Now the question is, I want to sell my cellphone but I dont know if i need to unlock it, or if its already unlocked because I removed the sim card, or how can I find out if its unlocked or locked. SOrry for my ignorrance I am a noob at this things. Any help would much be appreciated.

it should still be unlocked, i don't think it locks if someone unlocked it, id have to get someone else to say, but i dont think you can RELOCK it...
