Ringer help!!!

Why is it when ever I set my phone to remind me of an event that I have, that it never plays the ringtone that i have selected for it? It use to play the ring tone, but now it jus wont make any sound, like its on slience, but its not.

Anyone know how to help me?

Oh just to add, if it matters to anyone I have a i730. I dont know if that might help some one to know what to do, or maybe it doesnt matter, but if it does thats what I have.

make sure you have it set in the style if you are using one. Ie. The name at the bottom of the screen. Also check java volume I think that it is linked some how to it. If not I do have an alarm java ap on my site that works ok(not great). It is under file galleries then nextel games and java aps. www.harrythompson.com
