    Hi,

I found a 7520 blackberry nextel and the service was cut on the phone. I curently have sprint and I was wondering if I could have this phone activated under my account

    Thanks

im not 100% sure but if the person that lost the phone made an insurance claim you would not be able to activate the phone because the esn would be inactive? not sure if that is the right wording or if im even right just what i think. plus unless your currently on a smartphone/pda plan it would be no good to you.
    Can you hear me now?

Peter: No, I'm just exhausted 'cause I've been up all night drinking.

I wouldn't chance trying to activate it. Like OBXVZW21 said, the person could have an insurance claim on it. The best you could do is use it as a pda.

you can't use it. if you're on sprint, nextel is completely different technology.

how about contacting nextel, so they can get the phone to the rightful owner. since it's no good to you, what do you have to lose?

also, imagine how you'd feel if you lost your phone/pda/etc..
