Can I block numbers from calling me on my Cingular phone (Nokia
6340i)? I have this feature on my Bell South home phone number and
sure would like to have it for my cell phone too...

If you have custom ringers you can set any given number to NOT RING.

That feature is not available on the 6340i.

Might play with this...
Under Profiles there is an option called "Alert For" -- normally set to
"All Calls". You can change that to one or more Group names. That way
it would only alert for numbers assigned to that group(s) in the
phonebook. I just tried it to see what happens on a call not in the
group--the callerid shows on the screen but no sound or vibrate.
Problem is the caller would go to voicemail--and of course it would
apply to everyone not in the phonebook not just specific callers. Not
as clean as the "Block Numbers" feature on the landline--those are
blocked on the system end and never get to the phone. Maybe some day
Cingular will offer that on the cell phones.
