Dear subscribers,
I have tried to install and then run the PC Suite that is delivered with the
P800. Unfortunately I always get the same fatal error. The mRouter Runtime
Application causes a problem after which the computer cannot detect any
phone anymore. Also all the port disappear from the monitoring window.
The Sony Ericsson hotline told me very friendly that this is not a Sony
Ericsson problem but a windows problem and that I should just f*%ck off.
Now I'm stuck with a wonderful new phone that I can't use...
Does it matter that I still have the modem configuration for my Nokia 6310i?
Is the McAffee firewall the problem? Is it because I run a semilegal copy of
Windows XP Home?
Can anybody help? Please!!!

Re: P800 PC Suite Installation Problems
McAffee firewall seems to be the root of many of these type of problems. Try
removing it and see if that gets around the problem.

Re: P800 PC Suite Installation Problems
Temporarily disable your firewall and see if that works. Also, if you are
running an older machine, try unplugging any other USB devices you have
attached to your PC.

I had the same problem, i removed the firewall and re-installed PC-Suit,
(and then the firewall).
I am not sure if you really need to remove the firewall, maybe disabling it
might work. I would try that first.

Re: P800 PC Suite Installation Problems
Was this McAfee Firewall and what settings did you apply? I am still having
problems with the software crashing as the phone tries to connect to the PC.
TIA
