T-Mobile was no help. They never came up with any solution close to your.
I suuspect that you've hit the nail on the head. Any Ideas on how to
unlock the phone? Do you think T-Mobile will be able to unlock it? Or
should I just be glad I have a backup battery to my other phone.

Re: V66 Insert SIM Card
I think you'll find were that the case that with Motorola phones if it
was locked it would request a 'special unlock code' and not state
'insert sim' like yours does.
To be honest it sounds like a faulty phone, it can happen (though it's
rare and unfortunate).
