Share iPhone Contacts Using iTunes:
NOTE: Using iTunes on a computer connected to the Internet you can sync your iPhone contacts with your Google account. Then you can sync the account data, including contacts, with the HTC smartphone.
- Open iTunes on the computer
- Connect the iPhone to the computer via USB
- In iTunes, click the iPhone and go to Info
- Enable Sync Contacts With and select Google Contacts from the drop-down menu
- Log in with your Google account or click Configure and select an existing account
- Click Apply to start the sync
- Once the sync is done, switch to the HTC device and register the same Google account used in iTunes
- Set the account so that it can sync contacts with your Android device
Share iPhone Contacts from iCloud Backup:
NOTE: In case your iPhone contacts have already been backed up on your iCloud account, you can access the account on a computer connected to the Internet, and export the contacts in a vCard file for Android use.
- Open the Internet browser on the computer
- Head down to https://www.icloud.com/
- Sign in with your iCloud account
- Go to Contacts
- Select the desired contacts and click Settings > Export vCard
- After the vCard has been downloaded, follow one of the steps below:
- Open the Internet browser on the computer and import the vCard to Google Contacts or:
- Connect the HTC Desire 555 to your computer via USB, transfer the vCard to the phone storage and use People to import it to your phonebook
Using My Contacts Backup:
NOTE: While the two methods above require a computer connected to the Internet, alternatively you can use third party applications to share your iPhone contacts with an Android device. My Contacts Backup is an iOS third-party app that can back up and share iPhone contacts via email.
- Go to the App Store and install My Contacts Backup on the iPhone
- Open the app and tap Backup. This will create a vCard file containing your iPhone contacts
- Tap Email and make sure the vCard is attached
- Send the email and attachment to your own address
- On the HTC device, open the email and download the vCard attachment
- Import the vCards contents to your phonebook using People
Using Send Anywhere:
NOTE: Another third party application you can use on both Android and iOS is Send Anywhere. The app uses a peer-2-peer connection to share contacts and other file types, cross-platform, without requiring a computer.
- Visit the App Store and install Send Anywhere on the iPhone
- Install the same app on the HTC device via the Google Play Store
- Launch the app on both smartphones
- On the iPhone, tap Send > Contacts
- Select the desired contacts and tap Send
- Lastly, select the desired transfer method on one of the devices and follow the on-screen prompts to complete the process
