TP1100 display dead, phone still works

My LG TP1100 display (both inside and outside) has died. The phone still works however. As my contract is up I was thinking about leaving sprintpcs. Can my phone book be transferred to the phone of a different cell phone service provider?

If not, any suggestions on how to retrieve my phone book?

You can probably have the numbers transferred. The whole flip broke off of my VX7000 and they were able to get the numbers off of it.
