Motorola Razr V3 Black Phonebook problem

Hello, i am new here and i am glad i found this place.

I have a problem with my Motorola Razr V3 phone. I bought it on ebay and it works with cingular. I put my simcard in it and it worked perfectly and i started to put my phones numbers in the phonebook and it worked. Now everytime i press the phonebook button the screen goes to the phonebook for a sec and goes back to the main screen. I cant use the phone book cuz as soon as u press it it snaps back to the main screen. Everything else works perfect. I turned off and on the phone and it still did this.

Now i am worried this phone is stolen and sold on ebay? Does this kind of thing happend with cingular phone if thei are stlen? If not anyone can explain to me what to do.
