Re: The most durable Motorola cell phone.

i was going to say i530 but he beat me to it...

    putting iden moto aside....

i'd say ... wow. i can't even think of one really durable non iden motorola.

we send our customer phones out for repair a lot...

out of 10 phones we receive for service, 9 are motorolas. that doesn't speak well for the company... though i own moto phones myself. heh.

well, if you mean RECENT phone, possibly the v360. thus far, i've had no complaints or problems with it... but then again, it is a recent phone and therein lies the problem... because it's too new. hasn't had enough time to saturate the market for complaints. personally i like the phone... no antenna and a solid feel. the v180 and v190 isn't all that bad either. we get a lot of problems for displays and screens for the v300, v551, v555, v400, etc.

if you are in need of a durable phone, i might suggest getting insurance for your phone depending on your carrier and the price of your phone.

    cheers.

Re: The most durable Motorola cell phone.

I am not so worried about replacement. I want it to survive in the field with me. I am one of those silly guys that pays 300.00 for a flashlight so it will not break when I am out for 2 weeks at a time on the trail walking across rocks living on what I can carry on my back. The day I break a an ankle, I want to be able to crawl to higher ground and get a signal and call for help. Not crawl into town and get a replacement.

    yeah

    id def recomend the i530

though it is kind of primative

    no camera
    no bluetooth
    not even color lcd screen

of course... you dont need all that to survive in the wilderness

Ive conducted a field test with my V360 accidently dropped it on the pavement a total of 11 times since I bought it in February, and I havent had a single problem with it yet. I wouldnt necesarily say its the most reliable. I guess its like everything else you buy, sometimes you end up with a lemon sometimes you dont.

Yesterday at my job site a co-worker dropped his Razr while we were on a skyjack. It is now a bunch of little pieces. Lesson, dont drop your phones from 30+ feet up

My avatar is my girlfriend Denise.

Lets see, On some trips we have broken titanium cabariners, broken watches, destroyed a benchmade knife, and have destroyed a couple of flashlights.

Phones don't have a chance how we play.
