Hi all. I have a Razr V3 (on ATT) and it's paired with a Jabra BT-500
headset. No issues with the headset, it works well, even the voice
dialing. However when I have the Bluetooth power activated on the
phone and the headset connected for some reason my ringtones don't
work anymore. I just get a standard beep ringtone instead. When the
headset is disconnected the ringtones play as usual.

    Anybody else seen that?

Which manual would that be? The Razr and Jabra manuals make no
    reference to this "feature".

    Yep,
That's how my V3 works when connected to my
Bluetooth earbud. just the beep in the ear, I assumed
it was normal, that is just how it works for me.

This isn't the first time this has come up, and if memory serves...

All phones that do BT for a headset have an embedded profile for the BT
interface, which can be different than the headset profile used for a
hardwired interface. The embedded profile in the phone determines what
the user hears for all event signals - the BT headset just plays
whatever sounds sent to it via BT.

Some BT profiles provide for custom ring sounds, others just a single tone.
