I have a Sitecom Bluetooth dongle for my laptop and Nokia PC suite
which I have (finally) got working so I know that I can actually
comunicate with my phone from the laptop.
What I want to do now is use my GPRS to access the net for e-mail on
the move etc.
I have downloaded the Nokia Modem Setup and run it as per instructions
(ensuring PC Suite is disconnected) but when I get to the option
screen to chose either Bluetooth Modem or IR modem the blue tooth
option is greyed out. I cannot get past this - can anyone help??
Without using the Nokia software I can use a Dialup Network connection
box to get the phone to dial a normal phone number. Also I can get it
breifly to start a GPRS connection by using a normal dial-up
connection window but using *99# as the phone number. However it drops
straight off with a Error 734 message whatever that is ????
Any help greatly appreciated as I've been on this nearly a week.

If you have this on windows XP , please email the support at sitecom.
I had the same problem and after a few mails they didnt help me.
So i installed Windows 2000, and everything works.
The sitecom people said nothing was wrong with theis xp-drivers, i said
there is, so now they are not talking to me.
they say there is not one other complaint aboout the xp drivers !

Re: Bluetooth Modem setup problems
Hi,
Have you managed to 'pair' the laptop and phone before trying to set up
a connection?...oops re-read it and you have. Other option is to activate
the 2 devices so they are speaking and forget the Nokia suite and use
'Control Panel/Modems' to specify that your phone is the dial up modem. Use
the settings provided by your service provider O2?..guessing you are in the
UK and try that. Hope that helps. you will also need the DNS numbers from
O2, Vodaphone, whoever...oh and without stating the obvious, have you got
GPRS enabled on your account? Had a ***** of a job getting my iPAQ5550 and
Nokia 6310i to connect via GPRS, but between me and the O2 data guys we
sorted it.......more them than me I hasten to add!!
Cheers,
Martin
