*Help* with a presentation on microsoft

i have a presentation due in, in a couple of weeks and ive done my research but im not sure about it so if anybody could help me put something together before i go up that would be great

my presentation title is
Microsoft vs the World - is microsoft still dominating the software industry

now my section in the group presentation is based on identifying microsofts rivals and why user may prefer microsoft rather to its rival due to microsofts way of marketing its products,

also i wanna know if it would be right to comment on microsofts attempts to dominate the game console market...

please ur help would be greatly apprieciated!

actually, im gonna go call him, hes in Japan right now, so im gonna use me cell, cheaper international calling

I would say Apple and Linux(mainly Rd Hat, possibly UBUNTU) are the top competadors of microsoft

ive established that but having problems puttin stuff together with it, for instance my first paragrah talks about how microsoft is dominant due to its lucrative deals with computer manufacturers and that the chances of being offered a different os in a shop is slim etc

then went on to note its rivals, but i wanna include some form of for and against bit when using linux/mac... however i cant personally do this as ive never used linux or mac and when looking at user comments many tend to be biased to either side

I agree Manny, people tend to be pro-linux with a vehement dislike of windows, but when you question them you get vague answers about disliking corporate bigwigs and stability issues (but a girlfriend who is one of them reboots more often than I do!)

'twould be good to find a geek who is impartial, but I don't believe it is possible without some very specific questions that harvest more fact than opinion... how long do you have to do this paper?!
