Anyone have any experience with Open Office?
After reinstalling Win XP, I lost my copy of Office. I don't have a backup, as my copy was somewhat crooked....
I'm thinking of getting Open Office's version of Excel for my home use.
Any feedback on the program itself or the compatibility with MS Excel?
Thanks again,
nic

cool!
i had a battle w/ dell to get a copy of ms works suite 2002. outdated, but it was where i got my legit copy of word. everyone thinks you're a criminal these days.
my wife was demanding that i get word back for her, and not open office. i'm getting open office for the excel/calc software. she doesn't use it, so i'll be cool with it.
i was questioning its compatability issues with word/excel, but i've read some good reviews since posting my question. sounds like a winner.
thanks, mark!

it's not so much the fact that it isn't word, as much as it is that i lost word when i reinstalled xp!
