Hey all..
i have been searching unsuccessfully for days now. I am trying to add my gmail account to my sidekick ll. Ive followed the instructions that the tmobile site offers and yet it still did not help. I am still very unaware of how to add my gmail to my sidekic ll. I figured it would, well it should be easy to accomplish such an easy task, right? nope, not for me. Nothing is every easy when it comes to me, everything has to be completely difficult. I am wondering if maybe someone who has Gmail added to their sidekick ll could help out with guiding me with step by step instructions, so i can finally, once and for all figure this out and get it on my phone! Does anyone know the email account maximum on the sidekick ll? I heard 3 but for some reason, that doesnt sound right to me. I am probably wrong but I would just like to double check. I like to know anything and everything I possibly can. I know when someone else asks me these same questions in the near future, I would want to be able to answer them, correctly. So if its possible, anyone who is willing and able to give me step by step instructions, please respond or PM me.
I have tryed just about every site that offers instructions on adding other email accounts, such as Yahoo mail, Hotmail, and more. I have not come across any sites that offer step by step instructions on installing Gmail specifically. Hey, I never thought of this but is it even possible to add Gmail to your sidekick ll? Geez, imagine i have been doing all this research and question asking for nothing?! yeah, id be the big jerk then huh?! lol..
I promise, this is my last question ( i am trying to smooch them all in one thread ). Is there anyone who uses a Sidekick ll that has another email account that is more than 2 gigs big? I would love to find a popular email that is installable on the sidekick ll that has maybe, if possible, more than 2 gigs? I know i would probably not use up 2 gigs *well at least not quick, at least*. Preferably an easy @mailname. Like @tmail or @gmail. Easy to remember. Okay, let me shut my mouth now.. im sorry i wrote so much!! =( i LOVE to talk, as u can all see! hehehe
thank you for your help in advance and if u cant help me or give me answers or guideance, thank u for at least reading this!

Hi all, ive finally come across the answer to my own question, took me a few days but i did it! i am so proud of myself! if i post a question, that usually means that i cannot find the answer myself.. and after a long/hard search, i did it! so here it is for those of you who would like to have gmail on ur sidekick..
Log in to your Gmail account.
Click 'Settings' at the top of any Gmail page.
Click 'Forwarding and POP' in the orange 'Mail Settings' box.
Select 'Enable POP for all mail' or 'Enable POP for mail that arrives from now on.'
Choose the action youd like your Gmail messages to take after they are accessed with POP.
Configure your POP client* and click 'Save
Now..follow these additional steps...
Menu > "Settings" > "Accounts"
Menu > "New Account" (Menu + N)
Works with Gmail
Does not work with Yahoo unless a paying member
Does not work with Hotmail unless a paying member
Works with other servers... if server permits
For Gmail, it's easy...
Account
Mail Server
pop.gmail.com
Protocol
POP/SSL
Port
995
Username
(your username)
Password
(your password)
Email Folder (Be sure to create a new folder before creating a new account. It's easier that way. It can be done after, but it's more complicated and longer.)
Gmail Inbox (This is just a suggestion. I do that so I know what's directed to me through pager and through the computer.)
From Name
(your name)
From Address (This is recommended. If people receive your reply, they will think it came from the computer.)

Reply-To Name
(your name)
Reply-To Address (This is also recommended. When they reply, it will still go back to your personal computer account. That way, you can save them and keep track of them.)

The last part is "Copy Outgoing Messages". That is optional. I checked that and set it to BCC so all replies are blindly copied to my email. That way, my computer account keeps track of my replies as well
Note: These instructions ONLY work for GMAIL on your SIDEKICKR.i.P MB.LD.AA
