HTC touch pro with different provider?

I currently have virgin mobile, but the service is terrible so I'm looking for a new phone. I want Verizon's version of an HTC touch pro. But with verizon you are required to purchase a data plan as well which is a minimum of 30 dollars a month. Is there any way i can purchase this phone but use a different provider? Like AT&T or Sprint? Anything would help. Thanks!

Verizon's touch pro is terrible. It actually has a slower processor and less ram then it's GSM counterpart. I would recommend looking at a blackberry or if you don't want to have to purchase a data plan, the lg env touch or env3.
